At the beginning of this year, we obtained the results of the anthropological study we conducted on high Andean weavers from the various communities with which we collaborate. This in-depth analysis allowed us to identify specific needs and develop a roadmap to continue making a positive impact through our actions.
One of the main needs identified was the physical health care of our master weavers, who dedicate hours to traditional weaving, which generates muscular tension and posture that can affect their long-term well-being.
For this reason, at PALLAY we have developed a comprehensive active break program specifically designed to provide exercise techniques that relieve posture, waist, and joint pain.
For this program, we worked with Colombian trainer Rolando Arias, a specialist in Tai Chi and Chi Kung techniques, who designed a 20-minute routine perfectly tailored to the needs of our knitters.
The routine includes:
✅ Joint mobility exercises - To maintain flexibility in hands and wrists
✅ Lumbar Stretches - Targeted Relief for Your Lower Back
✅ Postural correction techniques - Prevention of cervical and back pain
✅Fluid Tai Chi movements to improve blood circulation
✅ Synchronized breathing techniques and coordinated movements of Chi Kung for greater well-being and vitality.

This program represents our commitment to the well-being of our suppliers, in line with good fair trade practices with all the stakeholders we engage with.
