Women weaving the future

Every thread tells a story.
In each garment, a woman who upholds tradition.

In the mountains of Cusco, more than 100 women preserve one of the oldest textile traditions of the Andes: the backstrap loom .

From childhood, they learn to weave by watching their mothers and grandmothers. With patience, strength, and creativity, they transform natural fibers into unique pieces that carry with them centuries of knowledge.

At PALLAY we believe that weaving is more than a technique: it is identity, autonomy and cultural heritage .

This month we celebrate the women who hold every thread together.

The power of knitting

For many of the women artisans we work with, weaving is a form of economic independence , but also a way to keep their culture alive.

Each piece they create is the result of hours —sometimes days— of work on a backstrap loom, an ancestral technique that requires precision, memory and a deep connection with tradition.

When you choose a PALLAY garment:

  • You directly support women weavers from high Andean communities

  • You contribute to preserving ancestral textile knowledge

  • You participate in an ethical and conscious production chain

Every purchase has a real impact.

Tradition that transforms

Each PALLAY piece is handwoven on a backstrap loom , using natural fibers and environmentally friendly processes.

The result is not just a garment, but an object full of history, time, and meaning.

No two pieces are exactly alike.
Each one reflects the identity and creativity of the woman who knitted it.

More than fashion

Choosing PALLAY is choosing a different way of dressing.

A way that values:

  • crafts

  • women's work

  • cultural preservation

  • conscious production

We believe that fashion can be a tool to generate a positive impact.

And that each garment can tell a story.

Each intervention is personalized according to client preferences and size.
